Welcome to the Delta Kappa chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon at the University of Florida! My name is Andrea and I have the honor of serving as president of DPhiE. Joining DPhiE has opened up so many opportunities for me to be involved on campus and grow mentally and emotionally. It has given me the philanthropic, leadership, and personal development experiences I was looking for post high school graduation. Moreover, I have created life-long friends who have greatly enhanced my college experience from game days to socials to community service projects. Being a part of a chapter of over 200 different women has taught me how to be a better friend, student, leader, and well-rounded person. The values of justice, sisterhood, and love that Delta Phi Epsilon encompass has shaped my sisters and I into who we are today and has taught us what we want for ourselves in the future as well. From sisterhood events, to football games, to socials, to just lying around on the hammock outside on Deeph Beach, the memories that I have made through DPhiE are forever irreplaceable. Our motto, Esse Quam Videri, means “to be rather than to seem to be.” It exemplifies what DPhiE is all about. We are well-rounded women who stay true to who we are and are always there for one another. In addition to giving back to the community at Duval Elementary every other week, we maintain one of the highest GPA’s of all Greek organizations, and still make time for some fun. There is never an uneventful day at DPhiE. There is always someone working on a project, someone around to talk to, or someone planning a fun event, like our yearly beach grab a date, Deeph Beach. While you can never truly understand what it means to be a sister of this sorority until you become one, I want to welcome you to our website. I hope it gives you a little more insight on what it really means to be a Deeph!
